Standardization: Jahia and Enonic to co-chair the OASIS CXS TC

The standardization project aims at enabling cross-application and multi-technology personalized web and digital experiences

Geneva, Switzerland - Oslo, Norway - May 7th 2015 - Serge Huber from Jahia and Thomas Sigdestad from Enonic have been elected co-chair of the OASIS Context Server (CXS) Technical Committee (TC) during the first face-to-face meeting held in Paris on April 29-30.

As personalized web solutions are becoming a mandatory part of Enterprise digital presence, it is critical to provide open source and standardized solutions. The ambition of the project is to develop a standard that will enable the creation, management and delivery of personalized web and digital experiences.

Purpose of the CXS TC

The purpose of the TC will be to create specifications for a Context Server as a core technology for enabling the delivery of personalized digital experiences. Organizations currently struggle to create and deliver consistent personalized experiences across channels, markets, and systems. The Context Server will simplify management, integration, and interoperability between solutions providing services like Web Content Management, CRM, BigData, Machine Learning, Digital Marketing, and Data Management Platforms.

Members of the OASIS CXS TC

A call for participation was launched in March and allowed for the following OASIS members to join the project: Liferay, Hippo , Typo3, Telerik, Enonic and an independent contributor.

The current comprehensive roster is available here.

Next steps

During the first face to face meeting, the first and foremost objective that all parties agreed upon is to further explain the scope and ambition of the CXS TC in order to attract more potential contributors. A webinar will soon be announced.

Monthly TC meetings have been scheduled each first Wednesday.
