Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance

A Java-based platform that enables the delivering of a dynamic website

A subsidiary of the Crédit Agricole SA group, Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance provides bank loans, revolving loans and rental loans, with a focus on the automotive market. With 9,540 employees split across 19 countries, and over nine million customers that account for €88.5 billion in managed assets, CACF’s approach to business is to provide a credit experience that is both 100% digital and 100% human.

Objectives

  • Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance (CACF) offers consumer credit products under its Sofinco brand. Its website, Sofinco.fr, attracts one million unique visitors each month. Yet, it isn’t CACF’s only sales channel on digital media. Instead, CACF also promotes its services through multiple partners, including Apple, La Redoute and FNAC.

  • The platform that ran Sofinco.fr was aging and, due to the numerous content updates that were needed on the site, a reliable CMS was becoming more and more necessary. Meanwhile, the increase in mobile traffic required rapid modernization of the web infrastructure supporting the Sofinco.fr website.

Our goal is to become the most recommended consumer finance company. This requires a solid data exploitation strategy, as well a significant work on building a great customer experience.

Solutions

  • By choosing Jahia, CACF found a Java platform that enabled it to create a dynamic website as the teams had imagined, while giving it the flexibility needed to leverage its capabilities in the future.
  • The need to base its web strategy on a modern CMS led Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance to take an interest in Jahia. This choice was all the more obvious at the time because the bank's internal developments are carried out in Java, the underlying technology of the Jahia solution. In addition, Franck Hugot was able to benefit from positive feedback from BforBank, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole's regional banks, which was already implementing Jahia on its online banking site.
  • Jahia was deployed using the agile SCRUM method, with particular attention paid to the technical architecture. “As a bank, we had significant security constraints,” explains Franck Hugot.
  • CACF is also increasingly developing customer journeys for partners and specialized sites that use Jahia APIs in “headless” mode.
  • CACF is now looking to explore all the capabilities offered by Jahia. This is particularly the case with jExperience, Jahia's personalization and A/B testing solution. This is interconnected with the DMP (Data Management Platform) solution implemented by Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance.
