Arkema

Orchestrating content creation in an international context

There is a system of site permissions based on roles. In other words, for an entity with 2 sites, not all users will necessarily have access to both sites, nor to the entire platform. And within the different sites, there are still different levels of permissions: users who can only contribute, those who can publish, those who can only intervene on product pages, etc.

Objectives

Arkema's ambition was to modernize its digital infrastructure to meet the challenges of a complex international organization. These included operational efficiency in content management (particularly multilingual), agility in launching new sites, user satisfaction and commercial visibility.

In particular, the group was looking to :

  • centralize content management, while offering local entities autonomy adapted to their specific needs;
  • improve the quality and reliability of product data via a high-performance, automated PIM;
  • enhance the user experience on its websites by offering advanced tools such as a Product Finder and a B2B customer portal.

Solutions

Arkema, with a presence in 55 countries and nearly 90 websites, has met several challenges thanks to Jahia and its integrated solutions:

  1. Centralized governance and local autonomy
    Arkema has implemented a flexible content management system, enabling centralization via Jahia while offering local autonomy through fine granularity of roles and permissions. The Group's strategic content is efficiently shared with the Business Units, creating fluid collaboration between headquarters and local entities.

  2. Optimizing product data management with a PIM
    The integration of a PIM (Akeneo) has enabled us to centralize product data, automate the creation of technical data sheets (TDS), and improve catalog quality with a Quality Score system. The result: significant gains in operational efficiency, reinforced quality control and enhanced commercial visibility.

  3. Focus on user experience
    With a Product Finder featuring thousands of filters and criteria, Arkema has transformed the product search experience for its users, offering precise, tailored options. The MyArkema portal, dedicated to B2B customers, centralizes interactions and orders, simplifying processes and offering an optimized user experience.

By adopting an approach based on continuous improvement and post-deployment analysis cycles with tools such as Contentsquare, Arkema has been able to evolve its digital device to meet the expectations of international markets, while increasing its operational efficiency and user satisfaction.
