Jahia joins the French Tech

In February, Jahia officially joined the French Tech. Julian Maurel, co-CEO and initiator of this decision, shares the reasons behind this decision and what it means for the company.
The French Tech, a strategic priority
For Julian Maurel, this membership reflects something fundamental about what Jahia aims to be. “Joining the French Tech is about affirming that a French technology company can innovate at the highest level while pursuing an international ambition from France. France needs technology champions capable of offering businesses and public institutions strong and sovereign alternatives.”
This positioning is also reflected in Jahia’s relationship with its customers. Developed and hosted in Europe, natively compliant with GDPR, and aligned with the evolving European regulatory framework, Jahia represents a credible option for organizations seeking long-term control over their infrastructure. “Organizations that choose Jahia are choosing French expertise and European technological independence. We want our customers to be proud to partner with a French leader capable of competing with the best global players."
A business accelerator, in France and beyond
Organizations are increasingly looking for solutions they can control, audit, and evolve independently. This expectation has grown as global technological dynamics continue to shift. “Technology is a matter of power and autonomy. France and Europe cannot remain mere markets for solutions designed elsewhere,” says Julian Maurel.
This trend is particularly visible in Asia, where demand for solutions perceived as reliable and independent continues to grow. The French Tech label helps Jahia position itself in these markets with a clear identity and strengthened credibility.
Beyond the signal it sends to the market, this membership also provides tangible opportunities: access to large enterprises, public institutions, technology partners, and investors. For a company already working with complex organizations in France and internationally, it is, according to Julian Maurel, “an accelerator for strategic conversations.”
Building international growth from strong local roots
Jahia operates across multiple regions, with clients and partners in key European and global markets. This is precisely why strong local anchoring is essential. “International growth doesn’t happen without strong local foundations. It relies on a trusted ecosystem, local partners, and access to talent” Julian Maurel explains.
Jahia has followed this approach since its early days, building a strong partner ecosystem. Over the past few years, more than a thousand partner engineers have been trained, primarily across France and Europe. “The French Tech adds a new dimension to the network Jahia has built over the past decade.”
A clear ambition in the French market
Julian Maurel states the company’s ambition clearly: “Our goal is to become the French champion that large organizations turn to when they want to build robust, scalable, and sovereign web platforms.” In a rapidly evolving market, Jahia aims to take on this role.
