Jahia names Michael Tupanjanin as new CEO

Washington, DC - Geneva, Switzerland - Paris, France- January, 11 2018 - Jahia Solutions Group, vendor of the most advanced open source Digital Experience Platform today announced the appointment of Michael Tupanjanin as new CEO of the company.

Tupanjanin will bring his extensive experience in the software industry to help Jahia accelerate both its international commercial growth and product strategies.

Former CEO and co-founder Elie Auvray will focus on the product evolution as Chief Product Officer.

Michael has spent most of his career helping companies transition and enhance their businesses through the use of digital technologies and devices.  Michael was the Chief Revenue Officer at Sitecore, a $200M technology company used by the world's leading brands to build online and mobile customer experiences. At Sitecore, he led all global sales, services, customer support, and partnerships. Prior to Sitecore, Michael was the CEO of Metavana, a startup that developed highly accurate algorithms to track social media for consumer expressions of opinions and emotions about companies products and services.  

As Executive Vice President of FAST, Michael led all global operations while the company grew from a startup to a global leader in Enterprise Search.  FAST was acquired by Microsoft in 2008.  Michael remained with Microsoft for another 3 years in order to lead the commercial integration of FAST, and was subsequently placed in charge of the Digital Marketing Platform Group.  Earlier in his career, Michael was the VP Corporate Development for an eLearning company, Centra Software, which had a successful IPO in 2000.  He also had successful stints at several high tech media companies including CMP Media and Ziff Davis.

Most recently, Michael was the CEO of ArtLifting, where he led the expansion of a commerce platform and marketplace which empowered  artists experiencing homelessness or living with disabilities. Key customers and partners included Google, Linkedin, Microsoft, Staples, Fedex, Gensler, and CBRE.
