Hi Ash,

I am also running Jahia on Vista.

After you see the message
INFO: Server startup in XXX ms

Could you try opening the following URL in a browser:

http://localhost:8080/config

Does it work then?

Regards,
Benjamin

The Jaiha-installer seems to be broken, see here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=83&p=529&sid=8ce44deccd39ade08e17fd135ee3af63#p529

Cheers

note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/6.0.18 logs.

Also the Enterpeise-trial-version has the same problem with the file-extensions (0000644), now even in the vanilla untar'ed installation-directory.

Wow, feels as if there's April Fool's day today.

Guys, we're in the midth of choosing a new CMS for our websites, and Jahia seemed to be one of our favourites, but meanwhile I have to say that Jahia just went down the drains.

    That's all too rediculous...

    Hello Gregor,

May I ask which tool you are using to untar the package file ? Or if you have tried multiple ones, could you indicate which ones ? I just want to make sure we can reproduce the problem here to solve it swiftly.

If you run into the problem with step 7, try shutting down and restarting the Jahia. It should then be accessible.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Serge Huber.

    Hi Serge,

we've been using Winzip 9.0 SR-1 in Windows XP Prof SP3. As Gernot pointed out in one of the other threads, it seems to be a known bug in older versions of Winzip. Unfortunately I couldn't test a newer version since here @ work we are obliged to use 9.0.

However, unzipping it with 7zip did work, also untarring it on Linux.

Therefore, maybe this is the wrong thread ("Vista..."), you might want to look into this one:viewtopic.php?f=19&t=83

    Cheers
