jahia 6.6 install on windows 7

by  maycayetano »  2012/03/04 11:40

hello, im sorry but im doing this for the first time, i am trying to install the demo package (for exploration purposes, as i will be working on a project using jahia 6). i have installed java and then the jdk with glassfish3. when i started accessing jahia thru localhost:8080/start, it goes to the error 404 page which says: The requested resource () is not available.

after looking for solutions i have read jahia is not compatible with glassfish3, but i am kind of confused now on which jdk to download and where, as all instructions seem to lead me to the page where i got the jdk with glassfish3. can anybody enlighten me please? :)

Hello,

Please uninstall the JDK + Glassfish you have installed and then install the following version :

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk-6u31-download-1501634.html

That should work.

Best regards,

  Serge Huber.

Hi, I'm having a problem install Jahia on Windows 7 + Glassfish 3.1.2 and JDK6, I followed the instructions given by Ries on another page, but I get this strange error  when I try to deploy it:

Failed to create the JAXB binder; nested exception is com.sun.xml.bind.v2.runtime.IllegalAnnotationsException: 1 counts of IllegalAnnotationExceptions Class has two properties of the same name "outputs" this problem is related to the following location: at public java.util.List org.apache.camel.model.ResequenceDefinition.getOutputs() at org.apache.camel.model.ResequenceDefinition this problem is related to the following location: at private java.util.List org.apache.camel.model.ResequenceDefinition.outputs at org.apache.camel.model.ResequenceDefinition . Please see server.log for more details.

I've attached server log here http://pastebin.com/avtA4Jy8

Added sun-web.xml and I've also tried newer versions of camel (camel 2.10.0), that doesn't seem to work too.

    Any ideas?

    Thank You,

      (yeskarthik)

    karthik,

remove Camel 2.4.0 from Jahia's WEB-INF/lib directory and replace it with the same camel version put from 2.9.4 THis might do the trick.
