Connect Jahia to DB2

by  yousefhammouda »  2011/06/07 20:56

Hi everyone,
I am new to jahia and want to connect Jahia to DB2.
Your site says that jahia supports DB2, but no further details in the documentation. (in step 4.1 of the installation wizard, cant find DB2 as a possible option)
Your help is appreciated.
Thank You,
Joe

    Hi,

Please precise where you have read that Jahia is supporting DB2. AFAIK, at http://www.jahia.com/jahia/Jahia/Home/p ... rted_stack, it is clearly written that DB2 does not belong to the usual supported DB and require a specific configuration of the software.

Indeed, some clients have been running Jahia with this DB and the Jahia team has not identified any reason why it should not be able to support it generically. However, it requires some specific tests and - at least likely - some minor modifications into the Jahia code.

The Jahia sales team can quote you the effort to support DB2 if you need it. FYI that is exactly the same configuration with Informix. Please write at sales@jahia.com to get the quote.

That said, again, some project already connected Jahia with DB2 so if someone can give to Joe some tips, that will be appreciated too of course!

    I hope this help,

    Tristan

    Hi,
Thank you for your fast reply, i think that it was due to a fast reading through some sites.
We received the Jahia representative in our company and will go through the arrangements to receive a customizable version to do the necessary tests.
    Regards,
    Joe
