Jahia EE v6 Documentation Available

Dear Members, 

We would like to inform you that a new set of documentation is available on the Jahia Extranet. The documentation is covering all the features related to Jahia Enterprise Edition v6 (http://www.jahia.com). 

 

1-Technical guides:

Jahia EE v6 Templating Mechanisms: This document provides you with an overview on How to use default Jahia templates. It also emphasizes the main improvements and changes compare to previous versions of Jahia.

Jahia Advanced Template Development Guide: This documentation aims to describe how to define the structure of a Jahia site with the new content definition mechanism from the basics to the advanced capabilities of the Jahia v6 templating API.

Jahia Template Development Environment Setup: This guide is about how to setup Jahia in a development environment, start a new template project and deploy it into the server.

Jahia Template Development Guide: This documentation aims to describe, how to start a new set of template, how to put in place the right structure and the general guidelines in terms of template development.

Jahia Content Definitions Guide: A Jahia site can be seen as an organized set of content object, which structure has to be predefined. Those content objects will be called within Jahia templates (see the Jahia Template Development Guide for more information)

Configuration and Fine Tuning Guide: This document provides you with an overview on How to install and configure Jahia Enterprise Edition v6 on professional environments such as clusturing, JBoss, Weblogic, Websphere and more.

Jahia Architecture Guide: This document provides a high-level view of Jahia’s architecture, and should help the reader understand the various components of the software, and how they fit together. It may also serve as a basis to understand the source code, as it is available for free.

 

Eclipse Environment Setup: This document defines the steps that must be followed to install a development environment using the Eclipse IDE.

Jahia United Content Bus Installation Guide: This documentation explains how to configure connector’s extensions to the Jahia United Content Bus.

Kerberos and Windows SSO Guide: Jahia is able to plug-in different authentication policies via HTTP filters and a pipeline of authentication valves. 

Portlet Integration Guide: Jahia is quite unique in its ability to integrate with both traditional CMS content and portlets on the same page.

End User Guide: This document will help you understand Jahia Enterprise Editon v6.

JahiaEEv6 Administration Guide: Jahia comes with a web based back-end administration system that helps site administrators, server administrators or even power users manage various websites.

Jahia QuickStart Guide: This documentation aims to explain Jahia’s basic functions and can be use as an overview of Jahia EE v6

Jahia UsersGroups And Roles ManagementGuide: This documentation will explain the Jahia users, groups and roles management functions in order to let you get all benefits of the powerful personalization management mechanism, Jahia provides.

Jahia EE v6 Authoring Guide: This documentation will highlight Jahia’s authoring functions and describe how to use Jahia Enterprise Edition v6 to create content with various author and translator roles scenarios.

Jahia EE v6 Browsing Guide: This documentation will go trough all the features available for an anonymous user or for an authenticated users, that only have personalized reading permission rights.

Jahia EE v6 Content Manager Guide: This documentation aims to explain Jahia’s Content Manager role. Content Managers have access to some specific features. For instance, they are able to modify permissions rights or to setup a new workflow.

Jahia EE v6 Content Validation Guide: This documentation will focus on the features available to Reviewers and Publishers in order to validate or moderate content.

Jahia EE v6 Language Management Guide: This document will give you an overview of managing languages within Jahia EE v6. You will learn how to add or/and remove new languages but also the translation and workflow per language mechanism.
