Jahia 6.5 Templates documentation

by  alekseyoborin »  2011/06/07 21:18

I'm trying to create my own template set for Jahia 6.5 (Build 34833) according to this dochttp://www.jahia.org/cms/lang/en/home/J ... troduction. This doc says:

The template sets described in the following paragraphs can be found on the Jahia server after installation in the directory: -home>\webapps\ROOT\jsp\jahia\templates

but in my tomcat folder after installation there is no "templates" folder. Why?

In studio mode I have three template sets: templates-web, templates-apps, templates-intranet which I can find in the '/apache-tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/jahia/modules/' folder. Is it expected that these templates are defined as modules?

I have created template project and deployed it as it mentioned inhttp://www.jahia.org/cms/lang/en/home/J ... _and_tools - my template has deployed to '/apache-tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/jahia/jsp/jahia/templates/my_templates' folder but I still have only those three predefined template sets in the studio mode.

Am I doing something wrong or something has changed in the template development process or those docs are not actual any more?

Thanks.

    Hi,

You are referring to a documentation useful to Jahia 6.0/6.1 but not to 6.5.

The documentation of the 6.5 will be released with the final product, so far it is still in development. For the evaluation of this 6.5 version, a dedicated website with some information will be released in December, so please stay tuned.

If you need to evaluate right now Jahia, please download 6.1 EE (Release 31127) or 6.0 CE (Release 25203).
