Time based publishing gone?

by  madsbuus »  2011/06/07 18:04

Hi Jahia guys,

I noticed that the time-based publishing feature is gone? Is that intentional? (I've got a snapshot from last week).

Of course I could add start and end times myself in a content definition, and add a code to the template so that content does not show unless in the proper time window, but for that to work I need to be very careful with caching as Jahia probably won't flush the cache at that time. So I need ask editors to set the cache option on every element with a reasonably short expiry.

Is that the correct way to go about it, or can I hope for a reintroduction of the feature later?

    Hi Mads,

No worry, we didn't give up on this feature. The time-based publishing feature has been postponed to the 6.6 release.
