Congratulations to the new Jahia 6.5,compare chart

by  erdem_ustun »  2011/06/11 12:09

Congratulations to the new Jahia 6.5.

thanks to your team.I have waited new jahia for a long time.

I could not see any chart or list compare CE vs EE features , like previous web page.

for example CE dos not have advanced permission management  from ldap or ad (active directory) with written module by you, is it true?

can I arrange-write some  code to connect ldap ,is it possible ?(for CE version)

I mean that it is easy managed or develop with EE,

for CE ,Despite having the same qualifications,I have  to write code to integrate ldap,  permission management , is that correct?

regards..

    Hello,

you do not actually need to write a code to connect to the LDAP.

The LDAP provider (and a bunch of other Jahia modules) are freely avilable on the http://github.com/Jahia page.

You can check out the source code of the https://github.com/Jahia/LDAP-provider module, build it and deploy into your Jahia (with our supplied deployModule.sh/bat script). You can find  also the documentation on how to configure your LDAP user/group provider in the same module.

    Kind regards

    Sergiy
