Associating templates to pages

by  maximelevesque »  2011/06/07 18:05

Hi, In the ACME demo site, I see that while editing the home page, I can
select a template in the drop down box (in the content pane).

Suppose I want to go in Studio to edit this template, I see that there are
many templated called 'home', so obviously the template names are not globally unique,
they seem however unique within a template set.

So my question is : when editing a page, how can I specify which template set I want to select
a template from, it seems like a globally unique naming scheme could be usefull, ex:

[page template]

-> /myFavoriteTemplateSet/BadAssHomePage1
-> /myDaddysTemplateSet/NeatLookingHomePage

The way it is now, I suppose I need to define somewhere which template set I am choosing from.

Right ?

Thanks

    Max,

    you can select the template during importing or creating of a new virtual sites.
    Within a virtual site you can select the templates that are available within the templateset.
    You cannot create a virtualsite with a mix of templates from different templatesets.

    Ok, so a site is linked to a single template set, therefore the template name becomes unique within the side.
    Thanks for the quick response
