Problem following Templating and Integration Guide

by  schiegel »  2011/07/08 09:49

Hello,

I am absolutely new to Java based Content Management Systems and first want to learn enough of Jahia (6.5) to create a simple site from scratch. But it seems that I am not able to follow the "Templating and Integration Guide". I have a html file and a css file with the base structure of the pages of the site. In part 6 "Step by step integration", section "Integration of the Base" it is written "We will then copy the HTML structure previously extracted into the base template". I can not find where to copy the HTML structure. Is it a file or something I can reach via the user interface?

Thank you.

Greetings,

Hi Willi,

I have checked in the documentation, you are right, some key parts are missing. I am currently escalating the issue to our documentation manager.
In the meantime, after the cutting the mockup step, you should create your template set using the maven archetype :

http://www.jahia.com/cms/home/community/documentation/templating-and-integration-guide/part-3-templates-and-studio/creating-a-template-set/using-the-maven-archetype.html

Let us know when you will have successfully completed this step.

Regards

Guillaume

    Hi,

thank you for your time answering me.

I think I already have a template set. I made it with Jahia Studio. It has "base", "home", "simple" and "content-template" in it. But now I don't know where to copy the html and/or css code which make up my website template.

Thank you for the link to the new documentation but this has nothing to do with my problem. I have no problem creating a template set. My problem is now in part 7 of the documentation "Step by step integration".  There it is written in section "Integration of the Base":

We will then copy the HTML structure previously extracted into the base template.

It still is not clear for me where to copy the HTML structure.

    Greetings,

    Willi

    Hi Willi,

Sorry for the late answer. The HTML structure needs to be paste in:

    /yourtemplatename/src/main/webapp/jnt_template/html/template.yourtemplatename.jsp
