How can the parent of a page be retrieved?

by  qwertz »  2011/06/07 19:56

Hello,
first, please excuse my bad english.
I have successfully managed to extend the web-templates to add a custom site type (showing a knowledge base). But now i am stuck at a certain point.
what i want to do is to show the title of a parent page on a child page, kind of like in the breadcrumb menu but only going one level up.
i tried this:
[code:1j8xgv2p]lt;ui

Hi,

In Jahiapedia, I read that one could get the parent page of the current page using ${currentPage.parentPage}

Maybe you can use ${requestScope.currentPage.parentPage.highLightDiffTitle}.

see : http://www.jahia.org/cms/lang/en/home/j ... _Libraries

Thank you so very much, ${requestScope.currentPage.parentPage.highLightDiffTitle} works :)
I have read the document you mentioned but must have overlooked this expression.

I wonder, wether there is a little bit more documentation? For expample i couldn't find quot;highLightDiffTitle
