Document Manager - Audio/Video container

by  mesdocs »  2011/06/07 20:02

Hi,

I have created template containers for audio and video files with restriction to audio/* and video/* mime types.

Those files are stored on a file system that i can mount in the file manager.

Unfortunately, when i want to attach an audio or video file from this mounted repository, the file manager does not display any file. I succeed in attaching files in simple file container (no restriction on mime type)

There is no output in the tomcat console.

Has someone an explanation about this behaviour ?

Regards,

Mesdocs.

Hello Mesdocs,

could you, please, provide a bit more details (your content definition, where you specify mime-type restriction)?
Are you able to see and download your media files in the Document manager?
It could be that the mime-type of those files is not recognized correctly.
If you can provide the exact Jahia release/revision number, your mount point configuration and you audio/video files we can perhaps reproduce the problem and try to solve it together.

Kind regards
Sergiy

    Hello Mesdocs,

we are using Apache Commons VFS to access the files. It tries to retrieve the content mime type by taking the extension and then it uses [url=http#58;//java

    Hello Benjamin,

    Thank you very much.
Under java home, the content-types.properties has an entry for wav files but no entry exists for mp3 extension.
