    Hello,

no, unfortunately, there is no way of automatically undeploying the module in Jahia 6.6.0.0. "Removing" things almost always leads to data incosnsistencies (missing definitions, views, etc.), so it is not a trivial task.

    Kind regards

    Sergiy

    Hello,

simple modules can be re-deployed on a running instance. JSP changes should be detected without having to restart the server. For Java classes however, once they are loaded they will not be unloaded and loaded again on re-reployment. Only when you are attached to the process with a remote debugger and you do some minor changes in the Java code this changes are then hot-deployed. But if you add/change method signatures or instance variables, such changes can also not be hot-deployed.

    Benjamin

    Hello Sergiy,

That removing things leads to data inconsistencies is quite hard to hear  !

Let's say we deploy some evolutions on a site, and that this deployment, for any reasons, fails. How can we be sure to rollback safely (we assume we have exported the site into a zip file before deploying the evolutions) if removing modules is not possible ?

What is the good procedure to save and restore safely a Jahia site ??
