osgi to manage modules & apps

by  ade »  2013/03/14 16:12

Is there any project to enable the deployment and the management of modules and apps within an OSGi container ?

It could enhance the development productivity, in particular when it comes to develop, deploy and test java classes, without any restart of the whole server. And the Extension Point concept could be very useful to promote the reuse and the extensibility of the system.

Any insight about this ?

Hi Auban,

you pointed at a very important topic and, in fact, we are currently working on that. OSGi it is at the hearth of version 6.7 which will be released this year.

so far everything is in good shape, and we're testing the system extensively.

Our CTO should provide more info about that very soon in a blog Post on the jahia.com web site.
