Looking for Tutorial on How to Add Custom Java to Module

by  markus »  2012/07/12 19:43

Hi,

I am trying out Jahia & am trying to get a feel for how powerful it is. I am looking for a tutorial or a guide on how to create custom java code in a module. I would appreciate a swift kick in the right direction.

Hi markus,

I suggest that you take a look at some videos that we created in order to answer to this pretty common need.

Here is the link: Dev Quick Start

I hope this will help and don't hesitate to give us feedback.

Regards,

Hi markus,

Here is the documentation that you are looking for:

Also our jahiapedia contains a documentation that describes jahia actions framework:

A good way to better understand jahia actions implementation is to have a look to our existing modules:

Thank you, this is very helpful.

What if i wanted to use some custom Java functions directly in the JSP view. For example, lets say i wanted to output the contents of a text file. Are there any examples of this?
