Hello,

in applicationcontext-services.xml in the configuration of the JahiaGroupManagerService bean (the one below the JahiaGroupManagerLDAPProvider), you should uncomment the line with the JahiaGroupManagerLDAPProvider, did you ?

Regards,
Benjamin

Hello,

could you let us know, please, which version of Jahia are you using and some details of your LDAP configuration (Jahia side)?

Kind regards

Sergiy

Thank you for your quick response, I just found the problem, in mod-LDAP.xml file there is this statement

     <entry key="search.objectclass" value="groupOfUniqueNames"/>

I verified my objectclass group in openLDAP and I found that  my objectclass is posixGroup, so changing this statement solved the problem.

But now I cannot add members to groups through jahia because buttons add and remove members are not displayed.

    Have you any idea?

    FYI: I used jahia 6.6.0.0

    Hello,

Jahia LDAP user and group providers are read-only out-of-the-box, because in most cases the application is not allowed (or does not "know" how) to do any modifications on the LDAP server.

You can use LDAP users and groups in settings permissions in Jahia and you can also add LDAP users as members to Jahia groups.

In case you have a need to be able to manage LDAP group/user membership from Jahia, you would need to implement a "writabel" LDAP provider, e.g. by subclassing from our LDAP classes and implementing required methods.

For example in the JahiaLDAPGroup.java class you can see that the addMember() and removeMember() methods are empty. Those are responsible for performing group membership change actions in subclasses.

    Kind regards

    Sergiy
