Getting Started in Jahia Development

by  darrenc »  2011/06/07 20:42

Hi all,
I'm new to Jahia and am finding it difficult to get started on developing in Jahia. I've read the architecture overview and some of the other jahiapedia docs and it looks impressive. The use of Spring, Lucene etc seems cool (my background is mostly in developing Spring webapps).

However I can't find any concrete examples that have anything except template development with JSPs.

I have a requirement to develop an XML feed of the articles that authors are going to post (which unfortunately can't be an RSS feed) which would be a breeze to do in a Spring app given the separation of Model and view technology. I'm sure that Jahia has a similar capability (I've seen it mentioned in a few places that the content and presentation are separated) but I need an API/javadoc to get me started.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Am I going to need access to the Extranet to get at the information that I'm looking for?

Thanks
Darren

    Hello,

You can find the javadoc in our extranet (http://extranet.jahia.com). If you don't have yet an access to this extranet, please send an email to info@jahia.com to request it.

    Best regards,
    Damien
