Error creating new module on DF 7.0.0.0.

by  kishorejena »  2015/01/22 19:34

Hi,

I am getting Connection timed out error while creating a new module in DF7.0.0.0. Is there any way I can set the proxy settings, so that I can avoid this error. I am getting this possibly due to the reason that my machine is inside office network. Also, why this is connecting "devtools.jahia.com". Can I download all the configuration and jars to my local machine and configure that. So, that each time building a new module would not look outside. Attaching the logs below. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,

from the error stacktrace it looks like connection timeout issue (when connecting to https://devtools.jahia.com/nexus/content/repositories/jahia-releases/archetype-catalog.xml ). Could you give it a try once again? Could you open the mentioned link in a browser?

    Kind regards

    Sergiy

Thanks Sergi for the reply. You are right, Its a network connection issue and it is coming due to the fact that I am working from inside office where firewall the connection. I have added the url to "list of exception sites"  in IE settings. I could able to access the URL by that. But, somehow application not able connect. I had such a issue with Maven connecting to repository through internet. I have added the company proxy detail in settings.xml to make it work. Do, we have any option to configure proxy for internet connection? Else, Can I download the resource and re-point the configuration to use the resource from local path. Please guide to fix the issue.

    Thanks,Kishore
