Deploying via Maven to a webapp not named "ROOT"

by  gkuhmel »  2012/05/30 09:18

Hi there,

i installed jahia through the installer to generate a WAR to deploy on my existing tomcat server.

I configured the war so its name is jahia.war

The webapp on my tomcat is so called "jahia" instead of "ROOT"

Then i created a module in eclipse via maven plugin.

I tried to deploy it on the tomcat server (i configured jahia-tomcat in maven config), it works but it deploys on the <tomcat>/webapps/ROOT folder whereas i need it on the <tomcat>/webapps/jahia folder.

Is there a way to configure this ??

Best regards,

    Hello,

    Have you read those documentations:

    Maven conf for Ecplise IDE

    Maven external config

I Believe that in the documentation "Maven external config", i you replace

    <jahia.deploy.war.dirName>ROOT</jahia.deploy.war.dirName>

    with

    <jahia.deploy.war.dirName>jahia</jahia.deploy.war.dirName>

    This should do the trick.

    Regards,

    Fabrice

You may also have to set jahia.deploy.war.contextPath property

Example for a "jahia" context (localhost:8080/jahia):

            <jahia.deploy.war.dirName>/jahia</jahia.deploy.war.dirName>
            <jahia.deploy.war.contextPath>/jahia</jahia.deploy.war.contextPath>
