adding and modifying attributes of the "body" tag

by  rusashi »  2013/01/20 10:39

Hello guys.

All you guys know that Jahia uses 960gs framework. So when I want to create a template layout I do this by adding rows with specified number of columns. But this effectively hides from the html body tag. Do you know which module's view I need to modify if I want to add some attributes to the body tag of the template?

Thank you in advance.

    Hey,

    I just looked here : https://github.com/Jahia/templates-set/blob/master/templates-web-space/src/main/webapp/jnt_template/html/template.templates-web-space.jsp

And at this moment there is no method to add any additional attributes to the body (for that template at least) it should be fairly easy to extend the template to allow for such configuration.
If the attributes you need to add a relative 'static', eg don't change and are just a one time setting you can just edit the JSP and add them there?

Thank you so much for your answer, it helped me.

The reason I was looking is that I don't like default grid system, I find it not really flexible and I want to create a couple of modules which will provide simple div tags, just to be able to create layouts as if creating them from scrath in the notepad (without any html frameworks). Actually I am surprised that nobody provided such a mechanism.

I also noticed that the link that you gave me is a template module, and this layout will be used if I choose to use web-space-layout. However let's imaging a situation where I created a web site with Jahia and I going directly to the edit mode and I don't want to use any template at all. Do you know which module's view will provide basic html markup like head and body in this scenario?

    Thank you in advance.

Oh gee I just realized that you can't create a web site without selecting a template
