Templates

by  ndabo »  2011/06/07 18:34

Hi
As I read the Template Developer Guide, any new or changed template require a new build and deployment of the Jahia application.
Would it be an idear to put the template files in the content repository? (as done in OpenCMS for example, where JSP files can be edited directly).
Our company have heavy procedures for deploying new versions of an application, and this will make it hard to do even small changes.

Best regards
Niels

    Hi Niels,

Yes that would be a good idea, and we are looking into it for upcoming versions of Jahia, including the possibility to use other template technologies than JSP.

    Regards,
    Serge Huber.
