Portlet with JSF Bridge

by  colinf »  2011/06/07 18:30

Hi,

I have been having a little bit of trouble getting a test JSF portlet going.

I see that JSF protlets were supported in the previous version, but looking through the documentation for this version, I see mention of a Struts bridge, but not a JSF bridge.

Just wondering if version 6 supports JSF portlets (I am (or intend to) use Facelets and maybe Seam if possible).

I have managed to get my test portlet showing, but the actions don't seem to be doing anything.

Regards
Colin

    Hi Colin,

You can use the JSF bridge from Apache Pluto, available here : http://portals.apache.org/bridges/

    Best regards,
    Serge Huber.

    Hi,

    The bridge is available here:
    http://myfaces.apache.org/portlet-bridge/download.html

Due to a bug in the JSF bridge described here http://www.mail-archive.com/pluto-user @portals.apache.org/msg00927.html, you have to use the version v1 of JSF the bridge and not v2.

Warning: you have to add the lib jstl-1.2.jar in WEB-INF/lib of the demo portlet to make it work.

    Regards,
    KT
