Module compile failure removes module from studio

by  studio module  »  2014/09/17 15:59

An invalid spring config in my module caused a compile error, resulting in my module getting removed from studio.

compile error:

2014-09-17 16:34:19,811: ERROR [JahiaContentManagementServiceImpl] - Cannot compile module

org.osgi.framework.BundleException: Unresolved constraint in bundle irr [113]: Unable to resolve 113.44: missing requirement [113.44] osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=org.jahia.modules.wiki.filter)

and recompile attempt:

2014-09-17 16:50:15,609: ERROR [JahiaContentManagementServiceImpl] - Cannot compile module

java.lang.NullPointerException

    at org.jahia.services.templates.JahiaTemplateManagerService.getSources(JahiaTemplateManagerService.java:312)

Previously i've recovered from this by checking in all my code to git manually.

Then use 'get source from source control' to recreate the module.

Is there a way that i can recreate the module from the existing local git repos?

I think when i've previously tried resolving this by defining a new module with the same name & source location it either deleted my existing sources or moved them out the way,
