Meta Redirection Issue

by  asingh »  2011/06/07 18:49

Hi,

This question relates to the use of meta redirection on our site. I am currently working on behalf of a company to resolve some SEO issues we have discovered. One of these issues is the use of Meta redirection as oppossed to the preferred method of 301 permanent redirection.

My issue is that we are unable to find a way to extract all the instances where meta redirection (/1) is taking place.

So my question is, is there any known method of extracting this data in the quickest possible way, so that we can capture all instances of meta redirection so these can be eradicated.

Thank you in advance for any help that can be given on this.

Regards,
asingh

    Hello,

You may have to look into your template set.
There must be a common file used to generate the /1 part of your templates.
In this file you might be able to eradicate this meta once and for all.

Warning: depending on how your template set was created you may have to look into several files.
If all of this fails, a good ol' CTRL F in notepad can help you

    Hope it helps,

    Alexis
