JSF Portlets

by  mariocauwe »  2011/06/07 18:34

In the documentation about portlets, I notice that there's a separate topic about the struts portlet bridge.
I'm might be deploying JSF portlets. Is there any specific configuration needed as well? Is it supported?

JSF portlets should work just fine, as long as they follow the Portlet API specification and don't have any dependencies on portal specific features (such as LifeRay portal code or other).

You will need to use the JSF bridge available here : http://portals.apache.org/bridges/

    Serge Huber.

    Hi,

    The bridge is available here:
    http://myfaces.apache.org/portlet-bridge/download.html

Due to a bug in the JSF bridge described here http://www.mail-archive.com/pluto-user @ portals.apache.org/msg00927.html, you have to use the version v1 of the JSF bridge and not v2.

Warning: you have to add the lib jstl-1.2.jar in WEB-INF/lib of the demo portlet to make it work.

    Regards,
    KT
