by  mxlab »  2012/12/20 08:36

Hi all!

Is it possible to do jcr unity test that interact with the repository directly from my favourite IDE without loading jahia?

Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas!!

Hello,

most of the current unit tests, which run during Jahia's build are exectued on a started application server, so we do not yet have mocking objects to mock the environments. Perhaps some tests would already run also without loading jahia, like the ones we take directly from Jackrabbit, but we haven't tried this yet.

Regards,
Benjamin

so I need to deploy the tests first, then running it on a started jahia or otherwise I cannot use object like ServicesRegistry, right?

Meanwhile it is possible to write and run Jahia unit tests also directly within the IDE on an automatically fast starting temporary server. See: http://www.slideshare.net/Jahia/tt-03-how-to-automatically-unit-and-integration-test-your-digital-factory-modules-benjamin-papez
