by  satishsharma »  2013/07/01 07:21

I am very new to jahia, created my own an website using my own template, need an help in customizing date format under metaData tab in edit mode.

My question is that is we can customized date format present in metadata part (under jahia edit mode), If yes then how can I change the date format.

    Hello,

On the date property of your nodetype definition, you can configure the picker to be used :
    - yourDateTime (date,datetimepicker)
or if you don't want to input the time,
    - yourDate (date,datepicker)

You can override the default formating on these picker by passing an option 'format' with a Java date and time pattern (http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html).
    For example :
     - yourDateTime (date,datetimepicker[format='yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm'])

    Regards,

    Quentin
