Is there an easy way to unpublish an entire site?

by  nickp »  2013/04/08 22:38

When I import a full content export from my production website into my development site, the content is all published in my dev site.  Is there a way to unpublish my entire dev site without having to unpublish each page individually?

No, but you can do a simple "staging" export from your production website (the red export button), which will be faster to reimport and won't publish anything.

I believe that you can also do this, but I don't know how 'safe' it is, on your own risc...

Import the site and see if it's all published.

Then under tool you can select jcrBriwser. Then select the life website. Delete home. I think I did that once by accident and it showed my complete site 'unpublished'. Again, do this at yor own risk :)

I wondered what the staging export was.  This worked great.  An unpublished version of the full site.  Website lite!  Thanks.
