Errors in edit mode

by  dott_matte »  2012/08/28 06:43

Hi,
recently I have a "view" problem in edit mode and I don't know the reason.

Some notes:
Jahia version: 6.5.1.1
Tested browsers: Chrome, IE9, Firefox 8.0.1
Portal user: root

Let's see the problem by some examples.

Starting from the homepage in edit mode, everything seems ok.
When I move to another page which contains a tabular-list, I see this component without any stylesheet:

editmode

when in live mode I can see the tabular-list correctly:

live mode

Similarly, when I move to edit mode from the page which contains the tabular-list, I see the correct view:

correct edit mode

but when I go to another page (for example homepage) I don't see some stylesheet.

Not correct home page in edit mode:

edit mode hp

home page in live mode:

live mode home page

Do you have any idea why I have this problem?
How can I resolve it?

Thank you very much for any kind of help.
Best regards,

Matteo

    Hi Matteo,

I have no idea. To resolve it you can try to use a developer tool in the browser like Firebug for Firefox and check whether your css is referenced and loaded in edit mode and with Firebug you can click on the component in the page and see which style from which css is applied to it. This would give perhaps more information to the problem.

    Regards,
    Benjamin

    Hi Benjamin,

    thank you for your answer.

Actually I have already checked by firebug and the Css file wasn't load properly.
The problem is: why the css file isn't loaded properly?

In particular, Jahia loads only the css which are in the "main page" (page in which I press the button "Go to edit mode").

    Regards,
    Matteo

    Hi Matteo,

Is there any warning in the logs, about some css file not found?

Did you try to upgrade to the latest Jahia version?

    Hi Damien,

I'm sorry for the delay of my answer.

Unfortunately there are no warnings in the logs and I didn't try the latest Jahia version: I'm not the owner of the web site and the upgrade could not be so easy (there are like 50GB of documents - in both live and default workspace) and the export tool does not work (I suppose some timeout problem).

    Thank you.
    Best regards,
