Error : JAVA_HOME does not seem to contain a valid JDK insta

by  hexxamillion »  2011/06/07 18:49

I am new to Jahia and downloaded the Jahia community 6 and working to install it on a standalone Tomcat7, running on Fedora 14 linux environment. I know my java environment variable is set fine because I had to define that for my other java appservers. I tried to execute the jahiaServer.sh and the jahiaInstallation.sh and receive the same error below. I tried editing each of the files to reflect the path to my java but no change. The path to my java is /usr/java/latest/bin/java. I figured that maybe it might not like the symlink so I edited the script to reflect the absolute path, but no change. This is strange to me because if I have the environment variable for $JAVA_HOME set then how come it will not just work with that?

I finally got past this. I had to modify the jahiaServer.sh and jahiaInstallation.sh scripts a bit more.

    Default before modification:
    if [ -f /1 then
    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/latest/
