Custom fields in Metadata section

by  namitgupta »  2012/10/15 07:45

Hello,

I am looking at ways to add new fields to the metadata section for different modules. I have not been able to add new metadata fields using the GUI.

Is there a programmatic way to add the custom fields to the metadata section?

Regards,

    Hi,

    When defining a property, it is rendered by default in the "content" tab.

    Then, you can use the itemtype keyword to dispatch it to another tab. Usually, it is used to dispatch the property to the "layout" or "options" tabs, but you can also specify

    itemtype = metadata

    Hi Damien,

    Thanks for your response!

    I am very new to Jahia CMS and not aware of the ways to create custom fields in the metadata section of the page templates.

    Please share the steps which would enable me to create new fields in the metadata tab.

    Regards,

    Namit Gupta
