Current preferred way to create/ update JCR nodes?

by  hchingwong@gmail.com »  2016/05/18 15:58

Hi~~~

  1. I have looked at the NEW JCR RESTFUL API which were having some problems/ still have problems now.
(I have looked into the source code and also it had been confirmed in this thread https://www.jahia.com/home/community/find-help/forum/general/jahia-in-english/restful-jcr-access---examples-fo.html)
  2. Old API from my memory seemed to not have as much feature/ not as easy to use.
  3. Apache Sling was the third possible solution.

I haven't looked at the old api and sling that much, after I go to bed (2am), might try locating the user profile code to see what's used to update JCR nodes right now.

Thanks -
Wes

Which problems specifically? The fact that you cannot currently pass a list of nodes to be deleted to the by-path API shouldn't be an issue if you are trying to create / update JCR nodes. Also, if you have ideas about what we could do to improve your workflow, we'd like to hear them so that we can see if / how it fits with the RESTful API.
