Changing Jahias locale doesn't change the locale in my Portlet

by  raquo »  2011/08/23 12:12

I'm using Jahia 6.1.1 and if I set the locale in Jahia to se_SV, the portlets locale is still en_US (from my browser I guess?). Is this how it is supposed to be? If so, how do I set the locale manually in my portlet?

    Hi Johan,

This is a known limitation, but you could achieve it thanks to the "Jahia Shared Map".

This mechanism allows the portal to exchange data with the portlets, so you could put the locale in this map from your template jsp before rendering the portlets, so that you can then recover it.

If you have never used the Jahia shared map, you can refer to the Portlet integration guide, from our extranet.

    Regards,

    Damien
