Can't drag & drop elements in Form Factory

by  fhatfield@ipponusa.com »  2016/06/27 16:00

I'm testing out Form Factory, and I downloaded both the core and snippets modules and activated them on my web project. Form Factory appears in my site's settings, and clicking to create a new form brings up the page to do so. However, when I try to drag the elements over, such as a text field, I can't drag them. Clicking the elements makes them appear at the bottom of the page, even below the footer of the page. Clicking them there makes them disappear again, but I can't edit the settings or anything. The point is they don't appear in the box they're supposed to and thus don't give me the customization options that I should have.

Has anyone else had this problem before? I've tried stopping and starting the module and that doesn't seem to fix it. I'm not sure how to redownload it if it's already been downloaded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Could you add details about your  browser brand and version and also FormFactory version.

Thank you,

Best regards,

I've tried it in Safari, version 9.1, and Chrome version 51.0.2704.79 (64-bit). I'm not sure about the Form Factory version, but in the modules section of Administrator mode, it says I have version 1.1.1 of the Core and 1.0.1 of the Snippets.

Thank you!

Even if it is not exactly the last version of those browsers it should work.

Could you please try to clean your browser cache: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData and try again.

If no improvement, could you please attach a screen shot of what you are experiencing?

Thanks,

Dominique

Here is a link to a picture of my window. The box on the side where the things should be dragged to doesn't appear, and clicking the form elements makes them appear at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks for posting the screen shot. Have you tried to clean the browser cache?

Also could you give me the jahia version?

Thanks,

Dominique

I updated Chrome and tried cleaning the cache in both Chrome and Safari, but it's still not working. My Jahia version is Digital Experience Manager 7.1.2.0 [Firestar] - Enterprise Distribution - Build 54282.3731

I am sorry I can't reproduce this odd behavior on my local installation. My last suggestion would be to ask you to use the last Chome version, mine is 51.0.2704.103 (64-bit). I know there was an update of GWT in Jahia 7.1.2. This may lead to have the last browser version.

Keep me updated if using a more recent browser version solve your problem. Thanks,

Dominique
