Caching Strategy

by  namitgupta »  2012/11/15 13:18

Hi All,

We have implemented a website on Jahia 6.6.0.0. We would like to optimize the caching on the website.

We have already gone through the caching document available on jahia.com. However, it didn't help our cause.

Can anyone point us to a more useful resource on Caching?

Regards,

Namit

Hi, can you explain what are your specific needs because caching on Jahia 6.6 is something completely transparent by default and, in theory, you shouldn't have anything to do apart perhaps change the default expiration time, knowing that expiration is used only if no modifiucations occured . Each module in a page is cached as a fragment and is automaticaly regenerated and cached when a modification occurs. Cache settings need only to be specified for very particular items likes the ones based o queries for instance.
