I am very happy to officially announce the release of Jahia 6.5, our brand new platform.
Even though we’ve decided to call it “dot five”, this version is really a major milestone that further completes our embracing of open, state of the art standards and frameworks initiated with version 6.
“A revolutionary evolution” for a “stellar release” as some of our integration partners put it, that highlights the best from our vision : Jahia 6.5 now bridges - using the well known simplicity of web content management tools- web, document, portal, as well as social, collaboration, search and mobile user experience, on a single unified and rock solid composite content platform. Alongside with Jahia’s new modularity, unheard of in our Java world and the visual aggregation brought by our Studio, we hope that our JahiApps concept will generate the same tremendous feedbacks and creative ideas we’ve experiences during our beta program.
From the very best concepts, foundations and integrated frameworks of our version 6.1, we magnified the capabilities of all integrated open source technologies to produce what, from all feedbacks we got, a next-gen CMS should be: the best user experience and information management tools to deliver your projects, whatever they are.
To help you get familiar with this new version, we have set up new webinars series, both in French and English, published more resources including extensive technical and functional on-line documentation and how-to videos.
All these resources are available from our new website, which - of course - runs on Jahia 6.5! We felt that to “eat our own dog food” was the least we could do to illustrate the confidence we have in this new release and comfort you in its stability and lead you to explore its expanded capabilities. Of course, you still can refer to our forum to exchange with your peers -- all your former credentials have been migrated: you can login to the new website the way you used to.
