- Features
Search is a key feature for us. As part of this release, we focused our effort on facilitating visitors’ access to relevant information whatever their types (documents, texts, Digital Assets), sources (multiple sites support and federated search among several content repositories) and on boosting search performances.
Jahia EE v6.1 delivers a new "Did You Mean" feature.
As information overload is rapidly becoming an important problem in Content Management market, Jahia is working on new semantic features.
Web visitors now "google" any information they are looking for rather than using more traditional navigation. Jahia now features new, dynamic ways to access information that employ tag clouds. These are enhanced with semantically related content areas and facetted, taxonomy-driven navigations, as well as keyword search by new Social and Semantic-powered Search.
These new features aim to provide a better way to contextually filter and surface the most relevant content items for a given user.
Jahia EE v6.1 introduces major URL enhancements to empower Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Blog Module : The Blog module can either run as a stand alone blogging site (e.g: blog.acme.com) or be plugged into any existing Jahia project. The goal was to refactor the existing blog code and to provide a fresh, well designed and standard-based blog application. This application will provide a solid and flexible platform for anyone to deploy user generated blogs with a complete set of features such as direct content creation (no popup, no edit mode), user generated comments, tag clouds and a built-in faceted search.
Newsletter Module: This Newsletter module aims to help Marketers and other Information Workers create and customize professional-looking newsletters to better interact with their communities. This module is an ideal option to build customized internal or external marketing campaigns.
Form Builder Module: This new release of the Form Builder module allows editors to quickly design and deploy a form. Power knowledge workers with no technical expertise can now easily add a new form to any page of any virtual site. All forms inputs and files are automatically stored and manage within the Jahia Document Manager for further external reuse (mailing, spreadsheet, database import etc.).
