Built-In File Management: Sufficient for Most Uses

Why acquire a WCM and couple it with another expensive and complex back-end ECM system if you need to manage only a few thousand of documents? Many WCM scenarios (simple brochureware web sites; microsites, etc.) do not require the presence of a more complex enterprise content management (ECM) or document management systems (DMS).     If the document is used on a web page, the system automatically checks the permission consistency between your document and the permissions set up on the various web pages to avoid possible errors (e.g., a restricted document being made available on a web page made visible tor any anonymous end-user).

    Document permissions are also checked and applied on any search results.

 

 WebDAV Interface

  • The embedded Jahia DMS is compliant with the WebDAV standard. This means that you can display and access your Jahia document repository as if it were on one of your company's shared network drives.
  • Most applications (e.g.,MS Office) also now natively support the WebDAV protocol. So you can directly edit or save a document in Jahia without having to leave your applications.
