Yep. If you know how to use a mouse and a keyboard, you can install Jahia!
2. Installing or uninstalling our software does not require a reboot of your machine.
Why would you reboot your machine? Jahia is full J2EE, runs on a JVM, no need for a reboot... (that’s sooo 90s ;-))
3. You can choose your locale and language at install time, and never have to see English again after that.
Yes, not only that, but you can chose your language at anytime. Multilanguage versioning and workflow are supported as well.
4. Eval versions of the latest edition(s) of our software are always available for download from the company website.
Jahia Community Edition, Open Source and free of charge & Free 90 day trial of our Enterprise Edition are available for download on our website.
Did we also mention that daily nightly builds are available for download?
5. Our WCM software comes with a fully templated "sample web site" and sample workflows, which work out-of-the-box.
Yes, Jahia comes with a set of “Corporate templates” that work “out-of-the-box’
6. We ship a tutorial.
Yes, that’s also on our website: www.jahia.org provides customers with a ‘demo environment’ to help new users practice and play with the software.
In addition all of our documentation is available online, for Users, Administrators, and Developers.
7. You can raise a support issue via a button, link, or menu command in our administrative interface.
With the upcoming Jahia 6 Enterprise Edition, administrators can click a button that directs them to our Online Support Center support.jahia.com
8. All help files and documentation for the product are laid down as part of the install.
Yep, users, administrators and templates developers can easily access our documentation.
9. We run our entire company website using the latest version of our own WCM products.
www.jahia.org is running on Jahia 6. Jahia.com is still on Jahia 5. But hey, we just released Jahia 6 Community Edition a few weeks back !
10. Our salespeople understand how our products work.
Even though our sales people are extremely smart (yes!), they only use a fraction of their brain to explain how our simple-to-use product, yet sophisticated, does the job.
11. Our software does what we say it does.
Yes. As a matter of fact we don’t really like powerpoints at Jahia. Our software does the talking.
12. We do not charge extra for our SDK.
No we don’t. Our philosophy is to only charge for Enterprise support. That’s it.
13. Our licensing model is simple enough for a 5-year-old to understand.
Assuming a 5-year-old understands concepts such as “contribute” vs. “pay” or “individual” vs. “enterprise” concepts, she’d understand our licensing.
14. We have one price sheet for all customers.
Yep and it’s publically available at jahia.com. -20% for Non Profit organizations.
