Jahia 6.5 introduces a new concept of modules that complements the Portal Server (JSR168 & JSR286 support) and OpenSocial container (gadgets support) with a powerful plug-in mechanism that lets integrators quickly deliver customizations and extensions to the product. Modules may range from simple views all the way to full-blown web applications such as a forum or a wiki. Jahia 6.5 itself delivers a lot of its new functionality using modules.
