Asynchronous rendering of toolbar in 6.1.x

A couple of customers of mine complains about the behavior when the toolbar menus "pops" up some 1000-500ms after the page rendering.  The consequence is that they click on the wrong menu item because the ordinary sub menus moves verticallly.

I have suggested that they shall hide the menu but a bug in  6.1.1 makes it impossible to activate the toolbar ever again. That bug is fixed in 6.1.2 but I have to give a reasonable explanation on why the toolbar in the top has to be rendered after page. ( I tell them about ajax, gwt and modern web design but it does not help)

Is this configurable?

Fixable by editing my templates?

Any other suggestions?

Hi Lars, 

Not sure you can fix this in your templates. I think this would require some changes on the GWT side.

For the rendering after the page, this is a performance issue. We deliver the page from cache and then the toolbar is a "personalized" element that is loaded using AJAX.
