Migrate Appache Debry to postgres

by rhains »  2012/02/13 18:48

I installed Jahia following the express install and now I wonder if there is a way to migrate from Apache Debry to Postgres without installing Jahia again. And also without loosing nothing.

Thanks

Richard

Hello Richard,

I doubt there is an (easy) way to do this.

The most simple one is installing a fresh Jahia instance using PostgreSQL as a target DBMS, exporting the content from old Jahia and importing into new one (I mean here the application level export/import, available from Jahia Administration).

Kind regards

Sergiy

Jahia Tools forgot password

by rhains »  2012/03/10 06:07

Hi, I am not sure how to ask this. When I want to go to Tools I go to http://localhost:8080/tools and it ask me a user id and password. I red the security aspects under link http://www.jahia.com/community/documentation/jahiapedia-v6_6/security/security.html and it is clear that to change the password I need to manually change it in jahia.properties.

Now when I did that, do I need to restart Jahia? does not say this.

I try to go to the tools without restarting but the password I use did not work.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Richard

Hello Richard,

yes you need to restart Jahia after changing the password in jahia.properties. I have added this to the source of the documentation page you refer to, but the page will only get updated after the next major release.

Regards,
Benjamin
