Elie Auvray

Chief Executive Officer

Elie Auvray- President of the Board & Chief Executive Officer Elie co-founded Jahia Solutions Group SA, after having started Jahia’s French operations in 2002 and is acting as President of the Board and CEO.

A seasoned software entrepreneur (15 years of experience), Elie founded Voice with Thomas Draier in 1996, a software company, pioneering the easy-to-use web application development with Vivendi Group as their first customer. In 1999, Voice merged with the company of the former President EMEA of Cisco in order to create a global software provider, Reef Internetware. Working closely with the CEO, Elie was the General Manager for Reef France, the first country in term of sales (overachieving sales objectives 7 quarters in a row), and built the first US sales team in San Francisco. Consequently, Elie lead the Europe Presales organization, developing and supporting the company's Partners network. Reef successfully raised 85 million euros in 2001 from international venture capitalist (Goldman Sachs, 3i, Viventures). Reef Internetware IP was acquired by Mediasurface in 2002.

Elie has a Master of Business & Tax Law from the University of Paris 2 (Panthéon - Assas), hold a Masters Degree in Contract Law, Major in IT Contract from the University of Paris 5 (René Descartes) and is a graduate from the Business Law Institute (IDA) of the University of Paris 2 (Panthéon – Assas).

Emmanuel Garcin

Vice President & General Manager Americas

 

Emmanuel has 14 years of international general management experience within the software and Content Management industry, working in the US, Europe and Asia.
Before joining Jahia, Emmanuel was the Vice President, Digital Publishing and CRM Solutions for Boston–based Houghton Mifflin, a leading US publisher. During his tenure, Emmanuel defined and implemented the Digital Publishing and CRM projects for Houghton Mifflin and its divisions, managing and coordinating a staff of up to 100 people. With his team, Emmanuel allowed Houghton Mifflin to dramatically improve its publishing efficiency and extend its offering to Digital goods, leveraging cutting edge Content Management and eCommerce technologies. Prior to Houghton Mifflin, Emmanuel hired and led the presales team for Reef North America, a Web Content Management company. Before moving to the US, he also worked as Financial Controller for L’Oreal in Shanghai and as Consultant for IBM Global Services in Paris.
 
Emmanuel is French and American and holds a MS in Engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (France), a MS in Economics & Finance from Science Po Grenoble (France) and a MBA from Insead - delivered in the US (at the Wharton Business School), Europe and Asia.

Serge Huber

Chief Technology Officer

 

Serge is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Jahia, co-founder of Jahia Solutions Group SA as well as the initial co-founder of the Jahia project before the creation of the group.
 
He has more than 15 years of experience in developing WCM and CMS solutions in various technologies, and is constantly striving to find new ways to build high-quality and high-performance software. He has experience in building high visibility mission critical applications for customers such as the French government, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne or Garmin. He now oversees the future development and evolution of the software and manages the interaction with open source communities such as the Apache Foundation. As the company technical evangelist, Serge interacts with analyst, integrators, partners and customers to help them understand and leverage Jahia’s powerful capabilities. His development skills range from assembly language to high-end data modeling tools, although currently Java is his current weapon. Previous to that, Serge co- created in 1999 Xo3-MyComponents and acted as the CTO until a management buy-out of the IP allowed the creation of Jahia. During his time at Xo3, Serge wrote CMS systems in both the Delphi and C++ languages, and then built upon that experience to create Jahia in Java. Prior to that, he has also worked on the Visible Human project to build high-performance extraction tools to help physicians visualize parts of the human body, and real-time augmented reality software.
 
His current hobby is developing iPhone & iPad applications. Serge is currently committer at Apache Foundation for the Apache Jackrabbit project (Content Repository implementation).
 
Serge is Swiss & American and holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology.

Thomas Draier

Chief Software Architect

Thomas is the Chief Software Architect (CSA) at Jahia as well as a co-founder of Jahia Solutions Group SA.

He has more than 15 years of experience in developing internet based software and business process management solutions in various technologies. He has experience in building high visibility mission critical applications for customers such as the European Parliament or French Ministry of finances. He now manages the global software architecture and oversees the implementation of chosen standards and frameworks. Previous to that, Thomas co- created Voice with Elie in 1996, a software vendor, pioneering the easy-to-use web application development. As CTO of Voice, Thomas was the initial developer of the Voice software suite, and joined the CTO office of Reef after the company merger in 1999.

Thomas is currently committer at Apache Foundation and member of the PMC (project management committee) for the Apache Jackrabbit project (Content Repository reference implementation) on top of which the Jahia product is built.

Thomas holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science, Major in Artificial intelligence from the French University of Paris 6 (Pierre et Marie Curie).

Clément Egger

Director of Product Marketing

 

Clement is in charge of the product roadmap, strategy and specifications.

He has more than 17 years of experience in the internet realm, working with international class companies like BMW, Renault-Nissan, Orange, Total, Universal Music, Alstom, BNP, Société Générale, Alcatel-Lucent, Cofidis, TF1...

In the early 90’s Clement obtained a master degree in Modern History and wrote essays on classical literature while discovering the internet and learning programming on his own.
In 1994, Clement founded one of the very first Computer Services companies dedicated to Internet technologies in France : Net Development SA. He managed it as CEO for 7 years. The company reached 75 employees before merging in 2001 with Reef, an innovative web publishnig software vendor. During 2 years, he first acted as Manager of Packaged Solutions, conceiving vertical applications based on the main product, than as Director of Engeneering.
Leaving Reef in 2003, Clement worked as an independent consultant and project manager for various customers, in particular specialized in saving projects in crisis. In 2007, Clement joined Jahia as Manager of Professional Services, then Manager of R&D from 2009 after the launch of Jahia 6.0. He led the Jahia 6.5 project from the conception to the launch, radically transforming the product foundations to meet the needs of the next generation of web applications.

Stéphanie Rouaud

Director of Software Development and QA

Stéphanie is the Software Development and QA director at Jahia. She has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Information Technology. She is leading the delivery of our new product generation as well as the maintenance of the existing ones. She is providing leadership, management and direction to the R&D staff. Prior to her role as Software Development and QA, Stéphanie created and managed Jahia’s Service and Support department, where she set up all processes and operational procedures.


Before joining Jahia in 2006, Stephanie worked as a project manager at CGI and Reef, in Montreal, Canada.


Stéphanie is French and Canadian and holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the French School of Electronic and Information Technology (EFREI).
