Ben & Jerry’s needed a dynamic design and easy-to-use platform that could be adapted to multiple sites for each country it services, in their native language, while ensuring the consistency of data. Furthermore, in maintaining its innovative and fun image, they looked for a platform that could also allow easily adapt to the behavior of today’s consumer. With the increased use of smart phones and other mobile devices, their multiple sites needed to be converted to mobile sites as well.

International Vacation Rentals Marketplace Supported in Multiple Languages with Enterprise Jahia CMS


Stellar growth requires a rock solid platform...

Austin-based HomeAway, Inc. is the world’s leading online marketplace for vacation rentals with sites representing more than 1.1 million paid vacation rental home listings throughout 190 countries and 900 million site visitors annually. Dale Churchett, a HomeAway senior architect, and his team have selected the Enterprise Jahia CMS to manage 15 different websites with 30 brands in 14 different languages.

Not only the ease of use of Jahia, but also its combination of performance and scalability, were the original reasons we selected this platform to manage our portfolio of websites. However, their dedication to support is one of the main reasons we are staying with Jahia and are working on the upgrade to the latest version of the platform. For its online presence, AG2R La Mondiale trusts Jahia and brings 4 sites together into a single portal.

With over 8 million subscribers and beneficiaries, AG2R La Mondiale is the first healthcare group to support the needs of their subscribers for the continuum of their lives.


A single portal for all audiences...

The choice quickly fell on Jahia for its portal and web content management functionalities, highly intuitive contribution interface and its open architecture that relies on the most robust Open Source Java frameworks, all of which totally convinced the teams at AG2R La Mondiale.

A manufacturer providing expert solutions for LV electrical networks, Socomec manages its 251 product descriptions in over 21 sites, in 14 languages, with Jahia 6.6.


Key elements of the project

The project started in October 2011 with the development of a Proof of Concept (POC) and concluded in February 2012 with the outcome that Jahia met the needs of Socomec, primarily due to the following features:
  • centralized management of the product catalog;
  • multilingual support;
  • multi-site support; and,
  • partner extranet.


The product catalog is really key for us and with time, new products and changes to existing products, managing it had become a very complex task. For our new site, we really wanted to find a solution to this issue, Christophe Huault Website Technical Manager at Socomec

With Jahia, NSI Announces the Development and Launch of the Geoportal of Wallonia: The new GIS portal was designed in accordance with the INSPIRE EU directive and lists the Region’s geographical data while making it available to all users.



The Geoportal of Wallonia draws many benefits from the Jahia platform. This CMS has many basic modules that can be customized very easily. The simplicity of the editing interface makes it much easier for the site manager to perform their task. The Jahia tool allowed for a strong integration with geographic components through web services standardized by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC),” Samuel Mattern, head of the geoportal project at the Walloon Public Service (Geo-Data Integration Department)



With Jahia, Smile developed the new Eiffage Immobilier web site that now presents thousands of real estate ads.


A major player in real estate, Eiffage Immobilier entrusts Smile to redesign its website.

Eiffage Immobilier proposes through this new site a wide range of property and real estate programs: new home, business or commercial offices, urban planning and urban design and more.

Smile realized this website with Jahia. Smile's teams have integrated the user interface, realized the import programs and managed the many stakeholders involved in the project.

A mobile version of the site was also created by Mobile Smile and is available at:

The site offers:

  • Advanced search capabilities on real estate programs.
  • Visualization of search results on map.
  • Integration of neighborhood maps together with local area data.
  • Access to online financial simulators to estimate the borrowing capacity.
  • Personal space with selected programs and alerts.

A new website for Indosuez Private Banking, one of France's leading private banks.


Smile has integrated the graphical elements of the new website of Indosuez Private Banking

A subsidiary of Crédit Agricole, Indosuez Private Banking is one of France's leading private banks exclusively dedicated to the fortune management of a wide variety of customers (entrepreneurs, executives, families, offices, associations and foundations).

Indosuez Private Banking - formerly BGPI (Banque de Gestion Privée Indosuez) - wanted to revamp its corporate website to match the change of its brand and of its global graphical layout.

Smile recommended and integrated Jahia 6.6; the site has been designed for a seamless user experience.

The main features developed:

  • News management.
  • Contact form.
  • Embed and display of a table of funds (SICAV and FCP).
  • Content made available to feed in external application.
  • A secure authentication for customers.

Smile completed the redesign of the extranet of private insurance for the elected members of the French Police - The Mutuelle Générale de la Police (MGP)


The extranet of the Mutuelle Générale de la Police (private insurance)

MPG is a private insurance for the police with about 300,000 members and wanted to provide its members with top-quality health services access through its system.

The extranet is an information website (IMOUV) for its elected members and is managed by the Office of the President of the Mutuelle. These representatives are located throughout France; 1,500 people access the extranet.

Several challenges had to be met by the Smile team: the old site was made ​​with another CMS that was complex to manipulate, so the new solution had to be easy to use and flexible. Another challenge was the very short period of time allocated until the launch of the production site.

The site was created with Jahia version 6.6.

Many featureswere developed, including:

  • text content,
  • photo galleries,
  • videos,
  • calendar events,
  • map of France with regional presidents,
  • and more.

The digital agency, Smile, participated in the ergonomic development site (storyboard) and in the creation of the graphic layout.
